Northwest to place armed guards at schools

<p>PLAINS TWP. &#8212; A Domino&#8217;s employee was paid with a $10 bill covered with drug residue while making a food delivery to a customer in a hotel room at Mohegan Sun Pocono casino on Thursday, according to charges filed.</p><p>When police showed up, they were faced with a plume of marijuana smoke when the room door was opened.</p><p>Jeffrey Thomas Savitsky, 48, of Pottsville, was arrested when police allegedly found marijuana and crystal methamphetamine inside his hotel room just after 5:30 p.m.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>A Domino&#8217;s employee making a food delivery at a hotel room on the fifth floor and was greeted by a man he suspected was under the influence of drugs. The employee told police the man was shaking or &#8220;tweaking.&#8221;</p><p>When the employee asked the man if he was okay, the man never answered and gave him a &#8220;blank stare.&#8221;</p><p>Police said the Domino&#8217;s employee reported he was given a $10 bill that was covered with drug residue. When the man noticed the residue, the $10 was snatched from the employee&#8217;s hand and was handed a $20 bill and told to keep the change.</p><p>Casino security was alerted to the suspicious activity and called police.</p><p>When police went to the hotel room, they were immediately overcome by a large plume of a marijuana smoke cloud, the complaint says.</p><p>Police alleged the room was leased by Savitsky.</p><p>Police searched the room allegedly finding two large plastic bags of suspected marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, a scale and approximately $10,000 cash.</p><p>Savitsky was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Spagnuolo Jr. with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and a single count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $150,000 bail.</p><style>
