Andrew Jubis had 39 digs for Lake-Lehman while Josh Company added 33 assists as the Black Knights defeated Hanover Area 3-2 Tuesday in Wyoming Valley Conference boys volleyball.Game scores were 2-25, 25-14, 15-25, 30-28, 15-13.Devin Senk led Hanover Area with one kill, two blocks, eight assists, six digs, 12 service aces and two aces.Wyo. Valley West 3, Dallas 0The Spartans defeated Dallas in three games 25-13, 25-16, 25-17.Donovan Gaffney had five kills, sevent points and nine digs for Valley West. Joey Burridge had four kills, 10 points and eight digs. Pete Scholl served 12 points.Logan Evanofsky had five kills for Dallas. Mike Huntington had nine digs and eight points.COLLEGEMEN&#8217;S VOLLEYBALLMisericordia 3, Wilkes 2The Cougars battled it out over five tough sets with the Colonels.Ryan Miller led Misericordia with 19 kills and three aces. Bailey Brugler had 41 assists and Daniel Sales added 1o kills and 22 assists.The Cougars have a 13-14 record while the Colonels slipped to 6-18 on the season.WOMEN&#8217;S LACROSSEWilkes 20, Lancaster Bible 16The trio of Jessyca Held, Kyra Boccio and Sierra Duman combined for 18 goals in the Colonels win.Held scored nine, Boccio scored five and Duman had four.The Lady Colonels finished the game on a 6-0 run to seal the victory.Melanie Velasquez made five saves in the second half to earn her first career victory.The Lady Colonels return to action next Saturday when they host MAC Freedom rival FDU-Florham.MEN&#8217;S LACROSSEMount Saint Mary 16, Wilkes 8Mount Saint Mary scored eight goals in the second quarter against the Colonels and never looked back in their win at Schmidt Stadium.John Wink secured his 100th career point as a Colonel in the loss. Nicholas Ruggiero paced Wilkes with four points.Wilkes (5-4) travels to MAC Freedom rival FDU-Florham next Saturday.SOFTBALLWilkes 8, Eastern 0Wilkes 6, Eastern 5Christina Gambino exploded for three home runs and nine runs batted in to power the Colonels to a doubleheader sweep of Eastern University.Gambino accounted for seven of Wilkes&#8217; eight runs in the first game. Gracen Staunton earned her fifth win of the season after pitching five innings of shutout ball.After Eastern scratched across two runs in the top of the fourth inning, the Colonels rallied for four runs over a three-inning span. After a successful day at the plate, Christina Gambino came in relief to earn her first save of the season.The Colonels return to action for a MAC Freedom doubleheader with Delaware Valley 3 p.m. Thursday.King&#8217;s 5, SUNY Cortland 4King&#8217;s 2, SUNY Cortland 1The Monarchs snapped their two-game losing streak by narrowly defeating SUNY Cortland in a doubleheader.In the first game, King&#8217;s trailed 4-2 in the bottom of the ninth inning. Amber Saylor hit a double to score Ally DeVoir to cut the deficit to 4-3. Samantha Bloom tied the game with a double of her own. With the bases loaded, Mackenzie Yori drew a walk to bring home the winning run.In the second game, King&#8217;s trailed 1-0 after four innings. Mindina Lieback scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Ally DeVoir to tie things up 1-1. After reaching on a single, Lexi Wolk was able to score from second base on an error, which proved to be the game-winning run. Freshman Nicole Kirse picked up the win for the Monarchs.King&#8217;s (11-5) plays at 2 p.m. Thursday, hosting Misericordia in a doubleheader.BASEBALLWilkes 12, Marywood 5The Colonels traded runs back and forth with Marywood until the fifth inning before the Wilkes offense erupted for a five-run eighth inning.With the bases loaded, Jack Fischer drew a bases loaded walk to expand the lead. Dan Eicher followed up with a run-scoring groundout. Bryan Nifenecker finished the inning off with a two-run single.Francis Navatta earned his first collegiate win for the Colonels, pitching four innings and allowing four runs on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts.The Colonels return to action 3:30 p.m Thursday for a MAC Freedom matchup with Delaware Valley.<style>
