St. Jude second graders learn about biographies

<p>Olivia Sherrick, daughter of Daryl and Laurie Sherrick, Stillwater, has been chosen as Northwest Area&#8217;s senior student of the month for April. Olivia is a talented musician and has been heavily involved in the Northwest Area music department. She sings in the chorus and was chosen to be a part of concert choir, currently serving as section leader.</p><p>This year Olivia competed in districts chorus competition, takes private voice lessons, plays the clarinet in the band, and also plays the piano. Olivia is a strong student athlete having been a cheerleader for the past two football seasons and competed in track and field for high jump last season. For the past two years she was employed at Pine Creek Pet Kennel. She currently volunteers at her church, and she enjoys spending time with her family. Olivia will attend Luzerne County Community College for her first two years and then will continue her education for a bachelor&#8217;s degree.</p><style>
