Cherry Blossom Festival at Kirby Park a ‘beautiful springtime event’

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212;	David E. Schwager, a partner in Wilkes-Barre law firm Charion, Schwager &amp; Malak, is now a fellow of The American College of Real Estate Lawyers, a press release says.</p><p>The announcement makes Schwager one of only 43 attorneys elected to the college in the country this year, the only Pennsylvania Fellow from Northeastern Pennsylvania and the only one north of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Fewer than 50 fellows are Pennsylvanians, the release notes.</p><p>Schwager is vice president of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and immediate past chair of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.</p><p>He serves locally as treasurer of Ecumenical Enterprises Inc., chairman of the Kingston Borough Zoning Hearing Board, assistant county solicitor for Luzerne County, and solicitor for the Luzerne County Board of Tax Assessment Appeals, according to the release. He also provides legal counsel to municipalities and municipal authorities.</p><p>Schwager is a member of the boards of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry, the Greater Wilkes-Barre Industrial Fund, and the Greater Wilkes-Barre Growth Partnership. He was previously an assistant district attorney for Luzerne County.</p><p>Founded in 1978, ACREL is a &#8220;national, non-profit organization of lawyers who are distinguished in the practice of real estate law and have contributed to the profession,&#8221; the press release states.</p><p>Admission to the college is by invitation only.</p><style>
