A Saturday opener for deer?

<p>Naweed Najib captured this scenic shot on a pond in Drums last week. This egret was patrolling the shallows for a fish or a frog, yet it is also displaying its breeding plumage. Called aigrettes, the breeding plumage consists of long banes draping off an egret&#8217;s back. Ironically, aigrettes contributed to the egret&#8217;s demise in the late 19th Century as they were highly sought after for women&#8217;s hats.</p><p>The demand for aigrettes that resulted in egrets being killed also led to a happy ending as it was the basis for the formation of the National Audubon Society and the Migratory Bird Act.</p><p><em>Capture anything interesting on your hand-held or trail camera?
