Duryea man denied bail in stalking case due to alleged series of incidents

Field narrowed for Wilkes-Barre police chief, follow-up interviews set

<p>HAZLETON &#8212; Police are looking for a 20-year-old man who fired several shots at a female as she was traveling in a vehicle Tuesday, according to Hazleton Chief Jerry Speziale.</p><p>Officers were dispatched to the area of Mine and Vine streets at approximately 12:30 p.m. for a reported shooting, a press release stated. Investigators said they determined Manuel Stevens Lora, of Hazleton, was the one who fired at the female, who was not injured.</p><p>An arrest warrant was secured within three hours of the incident, Speziale noted. Stevens Lora is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and a weapons offense.</p><p>Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 911; leave information at www.hazletonpolice.com; or contact Det.
