<p>WYOMING &#8212; Borough police arrested a man after his wife alleged he threw a motorcycle helmet that struck her in the head and set a mattress on fire early Monday.</p><p>Police responded to a residence on East Seventh Street for a domestic disturbance just after 1 a.m., when Jason Shawn Facciponti, 43, was arrested.</p><p>Officers had to stun Facciponti with a Taser to arrest him, court records say.</p><p>According to a criminal complaint:</p><p>When officers arrived, Facciponti claimed he was arguing with his wife, and she was going nuts and trying to set a bed on fire.</p><p>Officers located Facciponti&#8217;s wife, Krista, on the second floor.</p><p>She told police Facciponti arrived home from a party and began arguing with her. As she was leaving a bedroom, she claimed Facciponti threw a motorcycle helmet that struck her head.</p><p>Krista Facciponti fell to the floor and lost consciousness for a brief moment. When she awoke, she stood up and Facciponti shoved her into a door.</p><p>She claimed Facciponti set a mattress on fire with a cigarette lighter and she extinguished the blaze with a blanket.</p><p>Firefighters checked the house and escorted Krista Facciponti to a chair.</p><p>Meanwhile, Mr. Facciponti refused commands to leave the room where his wife was, yelling at officers they had no right to be in his house without a warrant.</p><p>Facciponti became more aggressive and pulled away from an officer as he was being handcuffed. An officer deployed his Taser, but it had no impact.</p><p>Another officer deployed his Taser, causing Facciponti to drop to his knees. He was eventually handcuffed after he was stunned.</p><p>As Facciponti was being detained, he reportedly said, &#8220;good because I&#8217;d (expletive) kill her.&#8221;</p><p>Facciponti and his wife were treated at a local hospital.</p><p>He was arraigned Monday by District Judge Brian Tupper in Kingston Township on charges of arson, aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, terroristic threats, resisting arrest and harassment. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $75,000 bail.</p><style>
