<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A woman kicked and attempted to grab the groin of a city police officer as she struggled while being handcuffed early Thursday, according to court papers.</p><p>Police arrested Morgan B. Kathe, 36, of Plymouth Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, when she was encountered in the area of 426 S. Franklin St. at about 2:40 a.m.</p><p>Kathe was being sought on allegations she stole a gold ring from a residence on South Franklin on Wednesday. </p><p>According to a criminal complaint:</p><p>An officer encountered Kathe while searching for a wanted man. Kathe identified herself using a false name but another officer knew her true identity.</p><p>Kathe was being sought for a missing gold ring. A record check showed she was wanted by the Luzerne County Sheriff&#8217;s Department.</p><p>An officer was able to place one handcuff on Kathe&#8217;s wrists until she turned and attempted to pull away.</p><p>During the ensuing struggle, Kathe repeatedly kicked the legs of two officers and attempted to grab an officer&#8217;s groin.</p><p>An officer stunned Kathe but she continued to struggle, kicking an officer in the knee.</p><p>She was stunned a second time before she was able to be secured in handcuffs.</p><p>Police later searched Kathe, finding a gold ring in her sock.</p><p>Kathe was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Spagnuolo Jr. in Luzerne County Central Court on charges of aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and false identification to law enforcement. She was jailed without bail due to unrelated cases she is facing in county court.</p><p>Court records say Kathe is facing a charge of prostitution related to her arrest by Kingston police on July 24. In a separate case involving robbery, theft and simple assault, she allegedly stole a man&#8217;s wallet in Wilkes-Barre on Sept. 23.</p><style>
