Summit day in Singapore: Excitement high, expectations lower

Their view: Democrats don’t need a message

<p>SCRANTON &#8212; Lavelle Strategy Group, a marketing, advertising, public relations, and interactive agency with more than 33 years of experience, is launching a new initiative focused on strengthening non-profit organizations.</p><p>The project is known as known as Lavelle Strategy Cares. Officials with Lavelle note that 88% of consumers want to buy from businesses that are socially responsible and contribute to charity.</p><p>&#8220;The power of Lavelle Strategy Cares begins with our name,&#8221; CEO and chief creative strategist Helen Lavelle said.</p><p>&#8220;The highest compliment we ever received as an agency came from the head of a national company &#8230; who said &#8216;we work with Lavelle Strategy Group because at times they care more about our business than we do.&#8217;&#8221;</p><p>The agency recently created and is coordinating the rebranding strategy for Outreach, currently known as EOTC, a Lackawanna County non-profit focused on promoting family stability and economic self-sufficiency.</p><p>&#8220;For the past 30 years, EOTC has made an outstanding name in the community, by improving the wellbeing of families and changing the lives of individuals through the organization&#8217;s programs and services,&#8221; the release stated.</p><p>The rebrand will further allow Outreach to stand out and reflect the non-profit&#8217;s vision for an even more stable and connected community, it added.</p><p>&#8220;We are confident this process will help us continue to grow as an organization, as well as enable us to better serve families in need.&#8221; Outreach Executive Director Linda Ciampi said.</p><p>The rebranding initiative began with the development of a full engagement strategy for Outreach, as well as a multi-platform campaign to raise awareness and inspire action. This includes collateral material, website conversion, email and social media marketing, newspaper, outdoor and broadcast public service announcements, and a fundraising event.</p><p>Lavelle Strategy Cares also is planning and promoting the First Annual Outreach Awards, which is expected to attract hundreds. It is the first of its kind for Outreach and is anticipated to raise thousands for the organization.</p><p>The event will celebrate EOTC&#8217;s 30th anniversary by honoring a member of the EOTC team and a deserving media outlet in Northeast Pennsylvania.</p><p>&#8220;Our 30th Anniversary is really something to celebrate. The days of solely relying on federal and state grants are over,&#8221; Ciampi said. &#8220;Our event is an opportunity to include our community and raise awareness for our mission.&#8221;</p><p>The celebration will take place at Glennmaura National Golf Club Banquet Tent at 5:30 p.m. on June 19, 2018 at 5:30pm.</p><p>Tickets are $75 a person and are available at Outreachworks.org or by calling 570-969-6000.</p><p>Outreach also is asking the community to join the Outreach Challenge by sponsoring at least one child who will benefit from their programs for only $100.</p><p>&#8220;We are looking to professionals, businesses, and leaders to help with this effort,&#8221; Ciampi said. &#8220;We want to foster community spirit by encouraging people to involve their friends, families, and neighbors.
