Defense asks prosecution for update in Foster Township homicide case

<p>AVOCA &#8212; A man from Avoca was briefly incarcerated when borough police say they discovered an arrest warrant that was issued 34 years ago in Illinois.</p><p>Criss Guy, 69, of Lampman Street, was arraigned Saturday by District Judge James Haggerty in Kingston on a felony count of arrest prior to requisition. Guy was released on $5,000 unsecured bail, meaning he didn&#8217;t have to post any money to go free. He would be liable for that amount, however, if he doesn&#8217;t show up for future court proceedings.</p><p>Guy could not be reached for comment on Monday.</p><p>According to a criminal complaint:</p><p>Police stopped Guy for driving a Cadillac with expired inspection and emissions stickers on McAlpine Street just before 8 p.m. Friday.</p><p>The officer also learned the Cadillac&#8217;s registration expired in February.</p><p>Guy told the officer he did not have his driver&#8217;s license with him.</p><p>When police ran a background check on Guy, the officer learned he was wanted in Cook County, Illinois, for bail violations. A warrant for him was issued Jan. 11, 1984.</p><style>
