Dallas man pleads guilty in woman’s fatal overdose

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A man who allegedly terrorized family members with a meat tenderizer was arraigned Tuesday on refiled charges related to an assault on his girlfriend&#8217;s ex-boyfriend earlier this year.</p><p>Justin Martin, 30, has been jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility since his arrest June 11 when police investigated a domestic dispute at his residence on Parrish Street.</p><p>While jailed, police re-filed charges against Martin related to an alleged assault on Scott Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Wilkes-Barre Boulevard on March 19. The initial case against Martin related to the alleged Scott Street assault was dismissed during a preliminary hearing June 1.</p><p>Ronald Kieselowsky told police he was walking on Scott Street when he spotted his ex-girlfriend drive by. As he walked under a train trestle, he claimed Martin approached him asking why he was in Martin&#8217;s part of town, according to a criminal complaint.</p><p>Martin punched Kieselowsky several times in the head and face, resulting in a swollen eye for the victim, the complaint says.</p><p>Martin was arraigned in county Central Court by District Judge Joseph Spagnuolo Jr. on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was remanded to the county lockup for lack of $5,000 bail on the Scott Street assault case.</p><p>In the recent domestic dispute, Frank Maloney Sr. claimed Martin was out of control and swung at him several times. He ran out of the house when Martin raised a meat tenderizer above his head in a threatening action, court records say.</p><p>The dispute began when Maloney&#8217;s son, Frank Maloney Jr., told Martin to sober up after Martin asked him for marijuana and cocaine. Martin allegedly told Maloney Jr., &#8220;You&#8217;re dead, where&#8217;s my gun. I&#8217;ll stab you; I&#8217;ll get my boys after you.</p><p>Maloney Jr. told police Martin referred to members of the Pagan&#8217;s Motorcycle Club.</p><p>After his arrest, police allege Martin spat at several officers who were struck by saliva.</p><p>In that case, Martin has been jailed for lack of $100,000 on charges of aggravated harassment by prisoner, terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct.</p><style>
