<p>DALLAS TWP. &#8212; The 2018 Misericordia University Trustee Associates Gala will launch the institution&#8217;s largest campaign, a multimillion-dollar effort in support of the construction of the Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Science Center.</p><p>Misericordia invites the community to the gala Saturday, Sept. 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Beaumont Inn, 4437 Route 309, Dallas. Tickets go on sale July 10.</p><p>The gala will serve as the kick-off for the &#8220;Now for Tomorrow&#8217;&#8217; campaign, a fundraising effort that supports construction of the new Henry Science Center and significant investment in the Annual Fund and endowment for additional scholarship opportunities for worthy students.</p><p>A highlight of the evening will be the awarding of the Misericordia University Founders Medal to John C. Metz, executive chairperson of Metz Culinary Management, and posthumously to the late Frank M. Henry, the former CEO of Martz Trailways.</p><p>Mr. Henry&#8217;s daughter, Marjorie Henry Marquart, a 1985 graduate of Misericordia and member of the Board of Trustees, will accept the award on her father&#8217;s behalf. The Henry family has made the lead gift &#8212; $5 million &#8212; to the &#8220;Now for Tomorrow&#8221; campaign, and the university will name the new facility in the family&#8217;s honor.</p><p>The university&#8217;s trustees established the Founders Medal in 2002 to recognize philanthropic gifts that significantly transform Misericordia&#8217;s ability to serve its students and advance the mission of its founders, the Religious Sisters of Mercy.</p><p>University Trustee Roger P. Howell, CEO of RATECentric and president of Howell Benefit Services Inc., is serving as chair for the gala.</p><p>Misericordia alumna Mary Hudack Erwine, Classes of 1990 and 1992 and president of Erwine Home Health and Hospice Inc., and Sandy Insalaco Sr., chairperson of US Hydrations, are serving as co-chairs of the campaign.</p><p>Tickets for the gala are $250 per person, $500 per couple and $2,500 per table of 10. The tickets, along with sponsorships and advertising packages, are available by contacting Marie Stolarick in University Advancement at 570-674-8201 or mstolarick@misericordia.edu. Tickets also can be purchased in person at Room 254, Mercy Hall. The deadline for reservations is Aug. 15. The deadline for advertising copy for the commemorative gala program is Aug. 7.</p><style>
