State calls for release of federal funds to help with health-care enrollments

<p>WILKES-BARRE TWP. &#8212; A restaurant near the Arena Hub Plaza damaged in last month&#8217;s EF-2 tornado was recently condemned and its building will have to be demolished.</p><p>Stations Grill, located next to Ashley Furniture and a Sprint store off Mundy Street, broke the news to its loyal customers in a Facebook post Saturday morning.</p><p>The post read: &#8220;We want to thank all of our patrons and friends who have supported our small family business over the years. It was an honor and a privilege to serve our community and we thank you for everything.&#8221;</p><p>But the owner, Shaun Cikovic, is optimistic about re-establishing his business somewhere else one day.</p><p>&#8220;You can&#8217;t prepare for something like this in Wilkes-Barre,&#8221; Cikovic said of the June 13 tornado.</p><p>&#8220;I found out last week that they condemned the building,&#8221; he added. &#8220;Now we are just trying to sell everything off.&#8221;</p><p>The sell-off Cikovic mentioned took place Saturday in the eatery&#8217;s parking lot. The sale mostly consisted of small wares and equipment.</p><p>&#8220;It&#8217;s sad to see everything go,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It&#8217;s good that somebody is taking the stuff but it was a part of the business. We came in every day to work. It&#8217;s just sad.&#8221;</p><p>Customers are now wondering what&#8217;s next for Stations.</p><p>&#8220;We are going to see what the insurance gives,&#8221; Cikovic said. &#8220;We are also seeing what else is out there and what location we could possibly open back up.</p><p>&#8220;As of right now we haven&#8217;t made any decisions, but I think we have a pretty good brand. We really want to stay local.&#8221;</p><p>Stations has been a staple in the community for five-and-a-half years.</p><p>Brianna Powis, 21, of Mountain Top, has been a loyal customer from the start.</p><p>&#8220;Me and my friends from high school always went to Stations,&#8221; Powis said. &#8220;When I got to college, I introduced all my friends to Stations, and they were hooked.&#8221;</p><p>Stations&#8217; Facebook post encouraged followers to leave a comment about their favorite memory of the place.</p><p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t have one specific memory,&#8221; Powis said. &#8220;I just loved sitting outside on the patio sharing great food with great friends.&#8221;</p><p>Cikovic was touched by what customers were posting to Stations&#8217; Facebook page.</p><p>&#8220;Seeing the outpouring from our followers is the reason why we want to come back because we have such a loyal following,&#8221; he explained. &#8220;They aren&#8217;t just customers, they are also family.&#8221;</p><p>While Stations Grill&#8217;s next move is still in limbo, Cikovic is maintaining a positive outlook.</p><p>&#8220;I just want to thank the loyal fans. It&#8217;s been a great five-and-a-half years, and hopefully soon we will be back doing what we love.&#8221;</p><style>
