Hudson Model Railroad club puts on a show at open house

<p>Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders starting pitcher Justus Sheffield was the New York Yankees&#8217; lone prospect in Sunday&#8217;s Futures Game in Washington D.C.</p><p>And Sunday&#8217;s outing was a mixed bag for the 22-year-old southpaw.</p><p>Sheffield took the ball to start the second inning for Team USA. Three pitches into his appearance, Kansas City Royals prospect Seuly Matias launched an elevated, 94-mph fastball into the bullpen in right field to tie the game, 1-1.</p><p>From there Sheffield settled down to retire the side, including a strikeout of San Diego Padres prospect Luis Urias. Sheffield went back out to pitch the third inning, but was pulled after Detroit Tigers prospect Dawel Lugo singled off him.</p><p>The RailRiders lefty pitched 1.1 innings of two-run baseball and gave up two hits. Sheffield and Team USA defeated Team World, 10-6.</p><style>
