Ex-employee charged with burglary HAZLETON &#8212; A man who city police say burglarized his former employer 18 times in the last two weeks was arrested Wednesday.Police allege Victor M. Tejeda Jr., 23, stole money each time he entered Metro PCS, taking a total of more than $6,000 from the store on West Broad Street.Tejeda is a former employee of Metro PCS.Tejeda was arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Richard Cronauer in Wilkes-Barre on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.Man arrested afterpursuit in PlymouthPLYMOUTH &#8212; A Monroe County man was arrested Tuesday on charges he failed to stop and initiated a pursuit with police.Mason Astaneh, 27, of Pocono Pines, was arraigned by District Judge Thomas Malloy in Wilkes-Barre on charges of escape, fleeing or attempting to elude police and two traffic citations. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.According to a criminal complaint:Police attempted to stop Astaneh, operating a Nissan Sentra, when he failed to stop for a red traffic signal at East Main Street and Washington Avenue in Plymouth at about 3:48 p.m.Astaneh turned onto Washington Avenue and accelerated his vehicle while being pursued.He turned onto Carver Street, Vine Street and Gould Street where he abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot.Police captured Astaneh in the area of Washington Avenue and West State Street.Plains Township manaccused of drug possessionPLAINS TWP. &#8212; A man from Plains Township was arraigned Wednesday on charges he possessed a syringe and five packets of heroin after being discharged from a hospital for a drug overdose in May.Darryl Wrey Elliott, 32, was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Halesey in Hanover Township on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.According to a criminal complaint:Township police investigated a domestic dispute involving Elliott and a woman at Sheetz at Route 315 and Jumper Road on May 17.As officers arrived, Elliott and the woman began walking away and were ordered to stop.Elliott reached into his pockets and was told to get on the ground by the officer.He had five heroin packets and a syringe in his pocket.Prior to being detained, Elliott was discharged from a hospital after he overdosed on heroin in Wilkes-Barre.West Pittston womancharged in Wilkes-BarreWILKES-BARRE &#8212; City police arrested Justine Carmela Marranca, 31, of West Pittston, after she allegedly entered a residence on Park Avenue without authorization just before noon Wednesday.Marranca was arraigned by District Judge Richard Cronauer in Wilkes-Barre on a single count of criminal trespass. She was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.Briefcase reported stolenWILKES-BARRE &#8212; A 56-year-old man reported to city police Wednesday he left his briefcase at a South Main Street business. When he returned, the briefcase was stolen.Bicycle stolen at gunpointWILKES-BARRE &#8212; A 20-year-old man reported to city police Wednesday he was assaulted and his bicycle was stolen by three men on Hazle Street. The victim said one of the men had a firearm.<style>
