Quest to find Phylicia: More digging near old trailer site, but still no remains

<p>WILKES-BARRE TWP. &#8212; A man driving a three-wheel all-terrain vehicle failed to stop when a female passenger was thrown off during a pursuit with township police earlier this week, according to charges.</p><p>Township police allege Richard Kevin Rause Jr., 33, of Metcalf Street, was operating the ATV with Jolene Woznicki as a passenger Sunday.</p><p>According to a criminal complaint:</p><p>A township officer spotted Rause driving an ATV without a license plate on Metcalf and Harris streets at about 7 p.m.</p><p>Minutes later, Rause was seen driving at a high rate of speed and without lights in the Georgetown section.</p><p>He continued to drive at a high rate of speed and failed to stop at intersections. The officer terminated the pursuit due to public safety concerns.</p><p>The officer later encountered Rause turn onto Northampton Street toward Watson Street. When Rause turned onto Evans Street, Woznicki was thrown from the vehicle as he continued to drive away.</p><p>Police said Rause turned around but when he saw the officer approach Woznicki, he turned the ATV and sped away.</p><p>Wozniak told the officer, &#8220;I was begging him to stop and let me off but he kept going.&#8221;</p><p>She suffered injuries to her back and a thumb. She denied medical treatment.</p><p>Police later served a search warrant at Rause&#8217;s residence, finding the ATV hidden under a tarp in a garage.</p><p>Rause was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Richard Cronauer in Luzerne County Central Court on charges of unlawful restraint, fleeing or attempting to elude police, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, flight to avoid apprehension, accidents involving injury and 11 vehicle and traffic violations. He was released after posting $5,000 bail.</p><style>
