Man learns Planet Fitness isn’t ‘judgment free’ when it comes to working out naked

<p>LARKSVILLE &#8212; Police are investigating the death of a borough man whose body was discovered on a couch with puncture wounds to the head early Tuesday.</p><p>Investigators are calling the death of William Denman suspicious.</p><p>Denman, 64, was described as a &#8220;quiet neighbor&#8221; who had previously run for elected office in the borough.</p><p>Police said Denman&#8217;s wife, Eleanor, reported finding him deceased inside their double-block home at 590 Washington Ave. at about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday.</p><p>Investigators do not believe Denman&#8217;s injuries were self-inflicted, and no weapons were found during an initial search of the residence, a search warrant affidavit filed by state police investigators says.</p><p>An autopsy is planned for Wednesday.</p><p>Investigators said Eleanor Denman told them she left for work at about 10:15 p.m. Monday and everything was fine when she last spoke to her husband by phone just before 11 p.m.</p><p>When she returned home more than eight hours later, Eleanor Denman told investigators, she found her husband face-up on the couch.</p><p>In addition to the puncture wounds, Denman had a bloody mouth, the affidavit states.</p><p>The house is equipped with a video surveillance system and a monitor for surveillance cameras was located in the same room where Denman was found. The surveillance system was taken by state police.</p><p>Investigators and troopers with the Forensic Services Unit remained outside until about noon Tuesday, until a search warrant was signed by District Judge Donald Whittaker in Nanticoke.</p><p>Troopers could be seen at work through an open gate to a privacy fence surrounding the rear yard, which appeared to have a garden and a trampoline. An American flag and the state flags of Pennsylvania, California, Arizona, Colorado and others were attached to poles around the fence.</p><p>Another investigator went door-to-door to interview neighbors.</p><p>Luzerne County Deputy Coroner Daniel Hughes removed the body just after 1 p.m.</p><p>Phil Yeager, who lives nearby on Barney Street, told the Times Leader that Denman was a quiet neighbor who often walked his grandchild.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;m kind of shocked because Bill stuck by himself, he&#8217;s a quiet neighbor,&#8221; Yeager said. &#8220;He used to run for politics on the Independent ticket. He would walk his granddaughter up and down the street.&#8221;</p><p>Records from the Luzerne County Bureau of Elections indicate Denman, who was not affiliated with a political party, campaigned for Larksville mayor in the 2017 general election, receiving 135 votes.</p><p>Another Barney Street resident, who requested anonymity, described the neighborhood as &#8220;quiet.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;Not much happens around here,&#8221; she said. &#8220;It&#8217;s a quiet neighborhood. It&#8217;s shocking to see something like this happen around here.&#8221;</p><style>
