<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; City officials have set a public meeting to discuss a sewer-line repair project that will close a portion of North River Street for up to eight weeks.</p><p>The meeting will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the Department of Public Works garage, 3 Conyngham Ave., to go over the repair of a 30-inch line for the Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority.</p><p>The project could start as early as Aug. 20.</p><p>North River Street will be closed to through traffic from Maple Street to Courtright Avenue for the duration of the project. There will be access for residents and to local businesses. Some streets that intersect with North River will temporarily handle two-way traffic to allow access. The project will be done in phases to minimize the effects to businesses and residents.</p><p>The project&#8217;s estimated duration is between six and eight weeks, weather permitting.</p><style>
