Violations: No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink in the ladies restroom to remind food employees to wash their hands. Beer taps observed with a mold like build up on the tap surfaces.Kitchen cookline floor area has old food spillage and grease build up. Old food splatter observed on the kitchen wall surfaces. Wooden knife scabbard observed in use in the kitchen.Mold build up observed on walk in cooler walls, storage shelves framework, plastic baskets. Black mold like build up on walk in cooler wall surface. Dust build up on walk in cooler refrigeration unit fan guard.closeCurry Donuts, 216 Wilkes-Barre Township Blvd., Wilkes-Barre: Regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Observed 30 old rodent like droppings under and behind equipment in the storage room. Potential rodent harborage areas inside the food facility observed in the storage room due to accumulation of clutter.Fuel One, 601 Church St., White Haven: Regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Black mold like build up forming on the refrigeration drain line in walk in cooler. Working containers in sink area, used for storing cleaners taken from bulk supplies, were not marked with the common name of the chemical.Food facility hot water heater is not producing enough hot water to supply ware wash sinks at the time of this inspection. Food Facility is not using an approved detergent-sanitizer in both compartments of the two compartment manual warewashing equipment.Haystacks, 116 Wilkes-Barre Township Blvd., Wilkes-Barre: Regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Observed an ambient temperature of 59*F in the 2 door refrigeration unit in the kitchen area. TCS foods were discarded. Unit will be serviced prior to storage of TCS foods. Observed clean food equipment in warewash area, stored uncovered or not inverted.Food employees observed in prep area, not wearing proper hair restraints, such as nets or hats.Corn beef hash, baked potato, stuffing and hard boiled eggs held between 49- 58* &#176;F, in the 2 door refrigeration unit in the kitchen, rather than 41&#176;F or below as required. Foods were discarded.Observed a build up of rust on shelves in the 2 door refrigeration unit in the kitchen. Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in dessert cooler and the 2 door refrigeration unit in the kitchen.Observed 50 rodent like droppings under storage shelves and along walls in storage areas of the facility. Facility cleaned accessible areas during this inspection.Hong Kong Restaurant, 1060 Midway Shopping Ctr., Wyoming: Follow-up inspection, in compliance. Violations: A Food Employee was observed washing their hands at the 3 bay sink rather than the designated hand wash sink. The Employee was educated that they should wash their hands in the designated hand wash sink only.Jireh&#8217;s Pizzeria &amp; Rest, 416 Main St., White Haven: Complaint inspection, out of compliance. Violations: The Person in Charge does not have adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection.Old black residual build up observed on the post can opener blade.The interior surfaces of the microwave show old food build up and splatter.The front of the cold hold units and the door handle area have old greasy build up of foods. Women&#8217;s toilet room is not provided with a covered waste receptacle for sanitary napkins.Food employees observed in food handling area, not wearing proper hair restraints, such as nets, hats.Clean utensils, pans, etc observed stored for drying in the sanitizer compartment of the ware wash sink.Soup being reheated in the hot holding unit with 62F product temperature.Sliced ham was held at 55 &#176;F, in the top area of the pizza station cold hold unit, rather than 41&#176;F or below as required.Door seal on the cook line cold hold unlit is torn, loose and no longer easily cleanable.Wychock&#8217;s By Pass Beverage, 730 Wilkes-Barre Township Blvd, Wilkes-Barre: Regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Food facility observed to be selling slushies by the cup however the facility does not have a three-compartment sink for manual warewashing of equipment. Facility directed to discontinue providing slushies until warewash equipment is available.Observed 2 dead decaying mice behind equipment in the back area of the facility.Observed 50 old rodent dropping behind equipment and pallets in the back area of the facility.La Tolteca, 200 Mundy St., Wilkes-Barre: Follow-up inspection, in compliance. Violations: Observed deeply scored cutting boards not resurfaced or discarded as required.Observed refrigeration drawer unit to be broken and in need of replacement.Observed 25 rodent like droppings along the walls in the storage closet.Price Chopper #222, 245 Wilkes-Barre Township Blvd., Wilkes-Barre: Regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Observed a build up of mold like substance on the interior surface around the drop chute on the ice machine in the seafood area. Machine was emptied during this inspection and will be cleaned and sanitized prior to use. Observed a build up of slime and residue in the greens display baskets in the produce area. Baskets were changed.Observed 15 small flies in the bagged onion display area. Source of flies was identified and discarded.Observed plastic sleeves in the bakery area to be deteriorating and no longer easily cleanable.Observed a build up of black residue on the back surface of the ice chute on the self serve beverage machine. PIC cleaned surface.Observed a build up of dust on the fan guards in multiple walk in refrigeration units. Observed a build up of black residue on a light cover and honeycomb in the produce area. Area was cleaned. Observed a build up of food residue on the exterior of the bulk ingredient containers in the breading area. Observed a build up of syrup residue on the surface behind and around the nozzles on the self serve beverage machine. Surfaces were cleaned.Observed 1 metal scoop in the bagel area to be cracked. Observed 1 metal scoop in the bakery area to be pitted and no longer easily cleanable. Scoops were discarded.Star Asia Buffet, 400 Rte. 315 Suite 220, Pittston: Complaint inspection, in compliance. Violations: Observed in-use knives and /or cleavers stored between table edges or between tables, an area not easily cleanable &amp; sanitized.Chinese Take Out, 506 Main St., Edwardsville: Opening inspection, in compliance. Violations: Unisex restroom room is not provided with a covered waste receptacle for sanitary napkins.Golden Star, 360 N River St., Wilkes-Barre: Complaint inspection, in compliance. Violations: Food facility inspection indicates evidence of insect activity in dining area, but facility does not have a pest control program. Manager will call Professional Exterminator for insects.Ollie&#8217;s, 84 S Wyoming Ave., Edwardsville: Regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Bulk food ingredient storage containers, in the prep area, is not labeled with the common name of the food (pancake base). The container was labeled during this inspection. Food scoop in bulk ingredient observed stored in the food and with the handle in direct contact with the bulk ingredient.The ice deflector plate inside the ice machine, a food contact surface, was observed to have a black mold like residue and was not clean to sight and touch.
