Auditor General demanding accountability via multiple reviews of key audits

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Approximately nine shots were fired outside the Ali Baba Lounge just before 3 a.m. Saturday, including two into a vehicle, city police say.</p><p>However, no injuries were reported and there have yet to be any arrests.</p><p>Officers said they were dispatched to the nightclub at 219 S. Main St at 2:54 a.m. for shots fired outside.</p><p>They spoke to a man who said a black male approached him outside the club, and an argument followed.</p><p>When the victim began to walk away, the unknown suspect began firing rounds into the ground, according to authorities.</p><p>Then, while trying to leave, police say two rounds were fired into the victim&#8217;s vehicle.</p><p>Police say they are continuing to investigate.</p><p>This is the latest in a series of incidents allegedly involving the lounge, though a manager said earlier this summer that some of the bad press has been unjustified.</p><p>On July 19, a man from Brooklyn, New York, was shot as he drove away after a fight broke out in area of Ali Baba, police said.</p><p>Collin Jones, 26, later died.</p><p>Also in July, the lounge was targeted by the city after an official deemed that it wasn&#8217;t zoned for entertainment, despite hosting live shows for years. </p><p>In addition, the club was embroiled in controversy after an April show by rapper 6ix9ine was cancelled. At the time, he was awaiting sentencing for his guilty plea to the use of a child in a sexual performance.</p><p>Anyone with information on the latest incident outside Ali Baba is encouraged to contact the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department at 570-208-4200 or call 911.</p><style>
