Phi Theta Kappa honor society makes donate to S.A.F.E.

<p>The Wyoming Valley Woman&#8217;s Club executive board met recently at Agolino&#8217;s Restaurant in West Pittston to discuss plans for the upcoming year&#8217;s events and meetings.</p><p>Among the events planned are an All-Season Extravaganza Tea and Fashion Show, a bus trip to Hunterdon Hill Playhouse, naming and honoring the Woman of the Year and awarding an educational scholarship to a graduating senior from the Wilkes-Barre Area School District.</p><p>The All-Season Extravaganza Tea and Fashion Show will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Irem Clubhouse, 64 Ridgeway Dr., Dallas. There will be a fashion show featuring seasonal clothing and accessories, seasonal themed tables, as well as basket raffles. Admission is $25 per person which includes an afternoon tea luncheon and an entry in the grand raffle drawing. Tickets may be purchased from Audrey Milford at 570-823-3912 or Cindy Mitchell at 570-709-8635. The event benefits the annual educational scholarship.</p><p>The bus trip to Hunterdon Hills Playhouse is scheduled for April 10, 2019.</p><p>Membership in the Wyoming Valley Woman&#8217;s Club is open to all women residing in the Wyoming Valley. Meetings are held at noon the second Tuesday of each month from September through May, excluding January.
