Your view: It’s time for term limits for legislature

<p>CARBONDALE &#8212; Thunder and lightning.</p><p>That was the Lake-Lehman offense Friday night, in what was a 40-0 shutout of Carbondale Area.</p><p>Whether it was the bruising of Black Knights fullback Matt Kurtz or Scott Robbins, the speed of Ryan Eiden and Zach Kojadinovich or even Ethan Adams&#8217; arm, there wasn&#8217;t much the Chargers could do to stop Lake-Lehman.</p><p>Aside from an interception of Adams on his first pass of the night, a shot at the end zone while the Black Knights were driving, Lake-Lehman scored a touchdown on every other possession until midway through the fourth quarter, when the backups were in.</p><p>Carbondale looked to make the most of Nick Vadella&#8217;s interception of Adams with their first possession of the game.</p><p>In a flash the Chargers has the ball in Lake-Lehman territory thanks to a 61-yard dime from Adam Rossetti to Zach Racht.</p><p>Carbondale would set themselves up with a first-and-10 from the Lake-Lehman 38, but that&#8217;s as close to the end zone as the Chargers would get. A couple of minimal-gain rushing attempts and a near-interception later and the Black Knights would be in business.</p><p>A 65-yard punt return by Casey Kaminski sparked the Black Knights offense.</p><p>With Kurtz and Kojadinovich alternating rushing attempts, Lake-Lehman marched their way into a goal-to-go situation from the Carbondale 8. It was there that Scott Robbins got his lone touch of the game, an eight-yard carry into the end zone to put the Black Knights on the board 7-0 after a Justin Timonte extra-point attempt.</p><p>After watching the rushing attack dice the Carbondale defense, Adams got in on the fun.</p><p>It took two plays, both strikes for more than 20 yards, for the sophomore quarterback to find the end zone for the first time of the evening. First it was a 27-yard dart to Kaminski, to give the Black Knights a 14-0 lead with 11:19 remaining in the second quarter.</p><p>Adams&#8217; second and third touchdown passes, a 61-yard strike to Kaminski and a 15-yard pass to Tyler Billotti, acted as daggers of sorts to the Carbondale defense.</p><p>Kaminski&#8217;s long run-and-catch came on a third-and-three from Lake-Lehman&#8217;s own 39-yard-line and put the Black Knights up 21-0 while Billotti&#8217;s reception put the Chargers away for good. It was the Black Knights&#8217; final score of the 40-point route.</p><p>Even though Adams was mighty effective, tossing those three touchdowns on 6-for-15 passing for 171 yards, the ground game did just as much damage.</p><p>Kojadinovich rushed for 66 yards on eight carries, Eiden had a team-high 68 yards and a touchdown and Kurtz ran for 34 yards and a score.</p><style>
