UNION TWP. &#8212; Just call him &#8220;Touchdown Tommy.&#8221;Or maybe &#8220;Super Souriyavong?&#8221;Either way, the Old Forge Blue Devils called Tommy Souriyavong their game-changer Friday night.And for good reason.Souriyavong scored on long touchdown plays in three different ways, all within a an 11-minute span of the second quarter that ignited Old Forge&#8217;s 63-20 victory over Northwest in a high school football game at Northwest High School.&#8220;I had the best 12 minutes in the second quarter I&#8217;ve had the whole year,&#8221; Souriyavong said.The Blue Devils (7-2) sorely needed it.Aside from Dante Lucarelli&#8217;s 51-yard touchdown strike to Anthony Rios on the game&#8217;s first possession, Old Forge managed just 101 total yards of offense until the final minute of the first half and Northwest, behind Connor Hazlet&#8217;s 90-yard touchdown return of a kickoff and George May&#8217;s 3-yard scoring run, was right in the game.Souriyavong pretty much took the Rangers out of the game, though.He first struck with an 84-yard punt return, outracing the Northwest defense to the end zone 32 seconds into the second quarter for a 14-7 lead the Blue Devils never lost.And after the extra point attempt was blocked following May&#8217;s score for Northwest, Souriyavong had an immediate answer.He took the ensuing kickoff, slithered out of the grasp of a couple of tacklers, and leaked through a seam before exploding for a 76-yard touchdown return and a 21-13 Old Forge lead.&#8220;It&#8217;s just my blocking up front,&#8221; Souriyavong said. &#8220;We work on special teams every day. I just had to find a hole and score a touchdown.&#8221;He didn&#8217;t stop there.Playing defensive back, Souriyavong swooped in front of a Northwest bomb at the end of the second half, then delivered another one himself &#8212; with a 65-yard pick-6 touchdown that gave Old Forge a 42-13 lead just 20 seconds from halftime.&#8220;We work on defense in practice every single time,&#8221; Souriyavong said. &#8220;Our guys work hard and they told me to just follow them.
