Boil-water advisory issued for Sutton Hills development in Jackson Township

<p>FRANKLIN TWP. &#8212; A Scranton man was killed when his vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle driven by a Shavertown man traveling the wrong way on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike late Tuesday night.</p><p>State police at Pocono reported Joseph Persico, 68, of Shavertown, operating a 2015 Audi, was traveling south in the northbound lane of the turnpike when he struck a 2003 Honda, operated by Paul Gerrity, 50, of Scranton, at about 11:54 p.m.</p><p>The force of the impact caused Gerrity&#8217;s vehicle to spin and was struck by a 2018 Toyota Corolla, driven by Pan Tso, 39, of Wilmington, state police said.</p><p>Persico was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown with serious injuries. Tso was transported to Lehighton Hospital, state police said.</p><p>Gerrity was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carbon County Coroner&#8217;s Office.</p><p>State police said the crash occurred near mile post 75.4 in Carbon County.</p><style>
