<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; City police are investigating after they say a woman was dragged from a downtown street to a wooded area where she was sexually assaulted.</p><p>According to Wilkes-Barre police, the assault happened early Tuesday.</p><p>At around 1 a.m., they say a 41-year-old woman was walking in the parking lot of the Jewelcor building, located at 100 N. Wilkes-Barre Blvd., toward the nearby Turkey Hill.</p><p>That&#8217;s when she was grabbed by a suspect and dragged into the wooded strip between East Market Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue, where she was sexually assaulted, she told police.</p><p>The victim described her assailant as a black male in his 30s, standing about 6 feet tall. He has an &#8220;average build&#8221; and was wearing a red-and-white hooded sweatshirt at the time of the assault.</p><p>Wilkes-Barre Police are continuing to investigate.</p><style>
