Pa. lawmakers, judges, top officials in line for pay raises

<p>Wilkes-Barre/Scranton opens another set of three games in three days on Friday.</p><p>The Penguins will play it without their starting goaltender.</p><p>A lower-body injury to Pittsburgh goalie Matt Murray has created a domino effect in net for the organization. Murray was placed on injured reserve Thursday, leading to a call-up to the NHL for Tristan Jarry. With Jarry gone, John Muse will join Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for the foreseeable future, having been reassigned from ECHL Wheeling.</p><p>Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will travel to Springfield &#8212; where Jarry scored a goal in a win last week &#8212; on Friday before coming home to host rival Hershey on Saturday and Providence on Sunday.</p><p>Netminding duties will fall to Anthony Peters and Muse for the stretch. And potentially into the winter.</p><p>Pittsburgh coach Mike Sullivan told reporters in Pittsburgh on Thursday that Murray will be out &#8220;longer term&#8221; because of the undisclosed injury, which the coach said he has been battling for a couple of weeks. The decision was made Thursday to shut him down to rest and recover.</p><p>That leaves AHL alum Casey DeSmith as Pittsburgh&#8217;s starter for the time being with Jarry backing him up. Pittsburgh plays on Friday and Saturday, meaning Jarry will likely get his first NHL action of the season this weekend.</p><p class="News-body-text">&#8220;He&#8217;s played extremely well,&#8221; Sullivan said of Jarry. &#8220;He had a really good training camp here. He&#8217;s played extremely well since he&#8217;s been in Wilkes-Barre. We believe these guys are capable guys. They both have NHL experience. They both have been in this position last year, and they did a real good job for us when Matt was hurt last year. We trust these guys. We believe they can help us win games.&#8221;</p><p class="News-body-text">Jarry, 23, was 4-5-1 with a 2.89 goals against average and a .909 save percentage for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. Peters has appeared in seven games, going 4-1-1 with marks of 3.12 and .902.</p><p class="News-body-text">Muse has been Wheeling&#8217;s starter, going 4-5-0 (2.98, .890).</p><style>
