Northwest Area Senior High and Middle School first quarter Honor Roll

<p>The King&#8217;s College Theater Department was recently awarded a $1,000 grant from Scranton Tomorrow in partnership with the 2018 Governor&#8217;s Arts Awards Local Committee.</p><p>Funds from the grant will be used to develop a staged reading of Nora Ephron&#8217;s play, &#8220;Love, Loss, and What I Wore,&#8221; to benefit Ruth&#8217;s Place and the Kirby Family House in Wilkes-Barre.</p><p>Ruth&#8217;s Place provides safe, temporary, and short-term housing for women experiencing homelessness in both Luzerne and Lackawanna counties. The Kirby Family House is a homeless living facility, which provides families with the necessary tools to start rebuilding their lives.</p><p>The goal of the performance, tentatively scheduled for the spring, is to offer low-income individuals and families the opportunity to experience the arts.</p><style>
