Police: Woman hidfentanyl in her braKINGSTON &#8212; Police arrested McKenzie Ann Kasteleba on charges she concealed fentanyl packets in her bra.According to a criminal complaint:Kasteleba was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on Pierce Street just before 10 a.m. Tuesday. A records search showed Kasteleba was wanted on allegations she failed to appear for a preliminary hearing on a drug paraphernalia charge.Police said they found several empty fentanyl packets in a makeup bag Kasteleba carried.Kasteleba, 21, denied having anything else on her.Police transported her to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility where a strip search revealed empty fentanyl packets hidden in her bra.Kasteleba, of O&#8217;Neill Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, was arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Joseph Carmody in Central Court on charges of possessing contraband, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. She was jailed for lack of $10,000 bail and on a warrant.Nanticoke man refusedto return pickup truckPLAINS TWP. &#8212; Township police charged Chris Planutis, 36, on allegations he failed to return a 2015 Ford F-350 pickup to its owner.According to a criminal complaint:John Cole told police Aug. 8 that he and Planutis were in business together operating Fat Tire on South River Street in Plains. The business has since closed.Cole claimed he allowed Planutis to operate the Ford to drive to Exeter and return the same day. Cole told police Planutis failed to return the vehicle and believed Planutis was driving the truck in the Hazleton area.Planutis, of Nanticoke, was caught driving the Ford in Hazleton later that same day.He was arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Joseph Carmody in Luzerne County Central Court on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving with a suspended license. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.Hazleton suspectallegedly hit womanHAZLETON &#8212; City police arrested Jason Miranda, 23, after he allegedly assaulted a woman inside a residence on West Broad Street on Tuesday.According to a criminal complaint:Nicole Zogio told police she allowed Miranda to stay at her residence after he got evicted from his place about a month ago. During an argument, Zogio claimed Miranda punched holes in walls and punched her several times in the head.Miranda was arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Joseph Carmody in Luzerne County Central Court on charges of simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $5,000 bail.South Carolina manarrested in HazletonHAZLETON &#8212; City police arrested Fabian Lavante Long, 36, on charges he identified himself using his brother&#8217;s name during a traffic stop Tuesday.According to a criminal complaint:Police investigated a report that a man in a Mazda was stalking a woman at a homeless shelter on North Laurel Street at about 9 p.m. Police spotted the vehicle near the shelter.When police stopped the vehicle in the area of Oak and Laurel streets, the driver produced a South Carolina driver&#8217;s license with the name Carlous R. Long.Police learned the driver&#8217;s real name was Fabian Long who had previously stayed at the shelter.Brass knuckles were found in the Mazda when an officer retrieved Long&#8217;s cellphone.Long was arraigned Wednesday by District Judge Joseph Carmody in Luzerne County Central Court on charges of prohibited offensive weapons, false identification to law enforcement and driving with a suspended license. He was released on $7,500 unsecured bail.Teen charged with theftWILKES-BARRE TWP. &#8212; Township police charged a 15-year-old boy from Kingston with stealing an Xbox game controller valued at $49.99 from Walmart on Sunday.Purse reported stolenWILKES-BARRE TWP. &#8212; A woman reported to township police Saturday her Victoria&#8217;s Secret purse containing $700 in cash, WIC checks and credit cards was stolen while she was inside Walmart.Wanted mannabbed in WB Twp.WILKES-BARRE TWP. &#8212; Township police said they caught Todd Fischer, 23, of Nanticoke, on a warrant alleging he failed to appear for a court proceeding. Fischer was nabbed during a traffic stop Friday at Highland Park Boulevard and Mundy Street.Police allege Fischer was in possession of suspected heroin. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.<style>
