Accused Russian agent case ‘resolved’

<p>KINGSTON &#8212; An expired car registration, a failed &#8216;hook-up&#8217; arrangement and drugs in an apartment led to a borough woman&#8217;s arrest in September, according to authorities.</p><p>Britney Ann Weaver, 27, is faces drug and prostitution charges after police found alleged drugs in her apartment and text messages insinuating an oral-sex-for-cash deal on Sept. 28.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>At approximately 2:40 p.m., officers observed a van parked in the area of 947 W. Market St. A male driver and woman, later identified as Weaver, were seen entering and exiting the building.</p><p>The building is &#8216;well-known&#8217; for criminal activity that includes narcotics trafficking and prostitution, police said.</p><p>While driving away from the area, the officer observed the car had an expired inspection sticker, prompting a traffic stop on Schuyler Avenue.</p><p>The driver said he met Weaver on &#8220;skipthegames.com,&#8221; an escort website, with the purpose of receiving oral sex in exchange for $60. Police took screen shots of the text messages. The driver also told police he intended on receiving oral sex from Weaver but changed his mind once he went in the building and left without paying money or engaging in the sexual act.</p><p>Authorities went back to 947 W. Market St. to talk to Weaver. Police entered the apartment containing several individuals in it.</p><p>Officers observed evidence of drug use in the room, including red bags of suspected heroin that were visible.</p><p>Weaver admitted to meeting with the man with the intention of charging him money for the sex act. She also admitted to having heroin and drug paraphernalia in her apartment.</p><p>Weaver consented to a search of her apartment that netted authorities several bags of heroin both used and full from a purse behind a door, used bags of heroin in a garbage can and black lock box that contained 217 packets of heroin.</p><p>While in police custody, Weaver stated she met the man on &#8220;skipthegames.com&#8221; and conversed with him over text message. She also said she arranged the meeting to receive $60 in exchange for oral sex.</p><p>Weaver said when the man came up to the bathroom of her apartment, she said he told her he needed to get a condom from the car before he left and never returned.</p><p>When asked questions about the heroin in her house by authorities, Weaver said she purchased 10 packets of heroin from a guy named &#8216;Benji.&#8217;</p><p>Weaver said she was &#8220;holding it&#8221;i n reference to the lock box containing 217 heroin packets with the full intention of returning it to a female in the building.</p><p>Weaver was arraigned Monday night by District Judge Jospeh D. Spagnuolo Jr. on possession with the intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility and similar misdemeanor charges.</p><p>She was remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $35,000. </p><style>
