Greater Nanticoke Area Students of the Month honored

<p>Senior Peer Counselor volunteers of Community Counseling Services and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) met recently for a holiday luncheon at Temple Apartments, Edwardsville, to recognize their dedication to senior citizens of Luzerne and Wyoming Counties.</p><p>Rhoda Tillman Ph.D. program coordinator, distributed certificates and gifts of appreciation for their years of service. Eight volunteers completed Senior Peer Counselor training in the past year. In addition, 12 volunteers have served from one to 24 years.</p><p>Men and women 55 years and older interested in volunteer opportunities, or seniors 60 years and older, who would enjoy home visits, may call Rhoda Tillman at 570-552-6107 for more information. A new training series will begin in January. There is no charge to participate.</p><style>
