Court order compels former WB police chief Lendacky to give deposition in civil suit

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Sneak a peek at Semyon Kazantsev&#8217;s Facebook page and you can see he&#8217;s been traveling the world &#8212; dangling his feet off a New Zealand cliff, joking about riding kangaroos in Australia, playfully typing &#8220;Guess what planet this is?&#8221; by a video of Utah&#8217;s Great Salt Lake.</p><p>His ticket to all these fascinating places is his skating ability, which earned the 24-year-old Russian a spot as Prince Charming in &#8220;Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic.&#8221;</p><p>The ice show will come to the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza from Jan. 9 through 13, bringing such familiar characters as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, who both turned 90 this year, along with such younger Disney creations as Princesses Anna and Elsa, who burst onto the &#8220;Frozen&#8221; landscape in 2013.</p><p>&#8220;We have in our show more than 50 characters from 14 shows,&#8221; Kazantsev said in a telephone interview. &#8220;Everyone from kids to grandparents can find their favorites.&#8221;</p><p>Kazantsev&#8217;s own favorites &#8212; characters he came to know as a child watching American movies in Russia &#8212; are part of the production.</p><p>&#8220;I remember being very young and my first Disney movies were &#8216;Snow White&#8217; and &#8216;The Lion King.&#8217; Still to this day &#8216;Lion King is one of my favorites.&#8221;</p><p>The cast photo from &#8220;100 Years of Magic&#8221; shows lions Simba and Nala as well as Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the warthog all representing &#8220;The Lion King.&#8221;</p><p>Also representing various story lines from the Disney collection are cowboy Woody, cowgirl Jessie and space ranger Buzz Lightyear from &#8220;Toy Story,&#8221; colorful fish from &#8220;Finding Nemo,&#8221; Goofy and Donald Duck from the early years; the wooden puppet and his advisor Jiminy Cricket from &#8220;Pinocchio&#8221; and Princesses Anna and Elsa, rugged ice harvester Kristoff and friendly snowman Olaf, all from &#8220;Frozen.&#8221;</p><p>Also skating are the many royal couples who have discovered each other in Disney movies, no matter if they came from different social classes.</p><p>Or maybe one lived on land and the other under the sea.</p><p>Or one had been turned into a beast.</p><p>Or one had eaten a poisoned apple.</p><p>Disney characters have a way of overcoming those little obstacles.</p><p>The show features a chance for the audience to sing along with familiar tunes and, producer Nicole Feld has predicted, people &#8220;will find themselves dancing out of their seats&#8221; as they enjoy &#8220;Hakuna Matata&#8221; from &#8220;The Lion King,&#8221; &#8220;You&#8217;ve Got a Friend in Me&#8221; from &#8220;Toy Story&#8221; and &#8220;Let it Go&#8221; from &#8220;Frozen.&#8221;</p><p>The skaters in the production are an international group, Kazantsev said, listing Slovakia, Japan, France and Canada as a few of the countries where his colleagues grew up and practiced their sport.</p><p>Kazantsev, who grew up in the Russian city of Chelyabinsk, was a pairs skater who competed at the national and international level before joining the show.</p><p>His advice to up-and-coming skaters? &#8220;Like any athlete, keep yourself in good shape,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Try to eat healthy.&#8221;</p><style>
