Callahan having another solid season for Susquehanna men’s basketball team

Five starters from Class A state champion Wyoming Seminary were selected to the Field Hockey Coaches Association All-State team and three more were also honored when the team was recently announced,Blue Knights standouts Hannah Maxwell, Aubrey Mytych, Kelsey Reznick and Alex Wesneski were all named to the Pennsylvania Class A first team, along with goalie Mia Magnotta.Their Sem teammates Julia Gabriel and Bari Lefkowitz were chosen to the second team, while Kate Barilla from the Blue Knights was an honorable mention.Class 2A state semifinalist Wyoming Valley West placed three players on the All-State first team and three more on the second team, giving the three-time District 2 champion Spartans the second-most contingent on the team of any WVC schools.Play-making scorers Cameryn Forgash, Karaline Stelma and Rina Tsioles were Valley West&#8217;s first team selections, while Jillian Bonczewski, Natalie Zasada and goalie Sydney Rusnock were second-team selections from the Spartans.Wyoming Area&#8217;s first District 2 title appearance and first state playoff win in school history were led to some Class A honors for the Warriors, as Kayla Kiwak and goalie Ellie Glatz were named to the first team, Kari Melberger and Abby Gober were second-team selections and Lauren Parente was an honorable mention all-state.Lake-Lehman&#8217;s Kate Roberts was a second-team all-state, while teammates Ava Radel and Amy Supey were honorable mention.In Class 2A, Coughlin&#8217;s Jolene Ulichney and Dallas&#8217; Emily Farrell were the only other first-team choices from the WVC.
