NEPIRC launches manufacturing video contest for students

<p>HAZLETON &#8212; For the second time this week, a tip called in to police about drug dealing on city streets has led to an arrest.</p><p>About noon Wednesday, Hazleton officers received an anonymous call about a drug transaction in the area of Hanover Court and 17th Street, reports Hazleton Police Chief Jerry Speziale. Hanover Court is an alley between James and Peace streets.</p><p>Patrol units flooded the area, and they stopped a man fitting the suspect&#8217;s description who was standing outside a gold Jeep.</p><p>Officer Eric Hernandez later found approximately 80 bags of heroin on the suspect, identified as Austin James Didgen, 23, of Barnesville, Schuylkill County, according to a press release.</p><p>Didgen will be charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also on probation, police say, and he will be turned over to Schuylkill County authorities for violating that supervision.</p><p>&#8220;This is a clear example where a simple call from the public can help us achieve our goal of a drug-free city,&#8221; said Chief Speziale.</p><p>On Monday, another tipster informed Hazleton officers about a man allegedly dealing drugs from a vehicle near a Dollar General store on West Walnut Street.</p><p>That suspect, Vincent Eric Graham II, 31, of Hazleton, was found with 200 suspected Oxycodone painkiller pills, authorities reported. Graham had been arrested just 10 days prior for allegedly dealing Oxycodone.</p><style>
