Alexa Moyer named Northwest Area’s Student of the Month for December

Smerconish appearance to kick off new JCC’s event schedule

<p>Kelsey Jones, daughter of Ken and Irene Jones, Hunlock Creek, was chosen as Northwest Area&#8217;s Senior Student of the Month for November.</p><p>Jones has been class president of her ninth, 10th, and 12th grade classes while also holding numerous leadership positions such as president of Student Council for three consecutive years. She is a four-year member of National Honor Society as well as president.</p><p>She is vice-president of the Aevidum Club since inception, Soprano Section Leader of Concert Choir, and a member of Mini-THON Committee. She is also both captain for field hockey and the track and field teams for the past two years.</p><p>Jones recently was nominated for Youth Salute and is also a member of Junior Leadership Wilkes Barre.</p><p>She will attend college this fall to major in Psychology and Sociology with the intent of one day becoming a psychiatrist.</p><style>
