<p>TUNKHANNOCK &#8212; Jeff Mitchell will return to the Dietrich Theatre with new photos of even more sites for the free presentation of Hiking Through the Natural Beauty of Pennsylvania at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2.</p><p>All hikers and/or lovers of the beauty of the land that surrounds us are invited. For close to 11 years, Jeff Mitchell, Wyoming County&#8217;s District Attorney and hiking expert, has visually inspired his audiences at the Dietrich Theater with stunning photos taken on his many hikes.</p><p>Did you know that hiking results in improved cardio-respiratory fitness, improved muscular fitness, lower risk of coronary heart disease and stroke, lower risk of high blood pressure and type-2 diabetes, and lower risk of high cholesterol and triglycerides?</p><p>Did you know that just spending an hour viewing the images of lovely scenes of nature help give you in a positive state of mind, feelings of awe and appreciation, and inspire you to make sure that our beautiful surroundings will be preserved? If you are an actual hiker or a virtual hiker, Jeff Mitchell&#8217;s presentation is the perfect winter antidote to winter blahs.</p><p>Some may know Jeff Mitchell as the District Attorney of Wyoming County. Others may know him as the author of several books including Hiking the Endless Mountains, Backpacking Pennsylvania, and Paddling Pennsylvania.</p><p>In the middle of the winter, it nourishes our minds to sit back and walk the trails with Jeff to see what is so beautiful in the woods and mountains that lie just beyond our roads, towns, and strip malls. Some of us will be inspired to take some of the hikes, and others of us will be richer just to have images of them in our minds.</p><p>His books will be available for sale at the event.
