Trump marks MLK day with memorial visit

<p>NANTICOKE &#8212; City police said a 72-year-old man was struck by a vehicle that sped away in the 100 block of South Market Street on Sunday.</p><p>According to a post on the Nanticoke City Police Department Facebook page:</p><p>Police said the victim, 72, was walking across S. Market St., when he was struck at about 10:24 p.m. He was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center for serious injuries, police said.</p><p>The victim sustained serious injuries and is considered to be in stable condition.</p><p>The victim&#8217;s name is being held until family members are located and notified.</p><p>Police described the vehicle as an orange colored sport utility vehicle with roof racks. Authorities have since interviewed the operator of the vehicle in question and determined it wasn&#8217;t involved in the hit and run.</p><p>Police are still conducting interviews.</p><p>Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has knowledge of the vehicle is asked to call Nanticoke police at 570-735-2200, ext. 206 or 216.</p><style>
