<p>DURYEA &#8212; Borough police are asking for the public&#8217;s help in solving a burglary that occurred last Friday night in the 900 block of Foote Avenue.</p><p>According to a post on the Duryea Police Department&#8217;s Facebook page:</p><p>The victim told authorities that he left for work at 7:30 a.m., and when he returned at approximately 8:45 p.m., he found the front door had been kicked in.</p><p>Multiple pieces of jewelry, an old checkbook and a Smith &amp; Wesson hunting knife were reportedly stolen from the residence.</p><p>Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to call the Duryea Police Department at 570-457-1721 or to utilize the department&#8217;s anonymous tip line at 1-833-373-8477.</p><style>
