Pittston man killed in Exeter Township crash

<p>HAZLE TWP. &#8212; Residents of one township village are on high alert after a series of residential break-ins in recent days where food is being stolen.</p><p>State Police say they have investigated a total of seven burglaries in the Milnesville section of the township.</p><p>Those responsible are forcing their way into homes, &#8220;particularly through side and rear entry doors. Once inside, miscellaneous items to include food and beverages are being taken,&#8221; a police press release states.</p><p>Milnesville is split in half by Route 309. The section of the village where several homes have been targeted in recent days sits behind the Valero gas station.</p><p>Over the weekend, one resident there was passing out flyers to alert neighbors to what was happening. A Facebook group has also been started to get information to residents.</p><p>Troopers have had a heavy presence in the area over the last few days and are promising to continue their patrols.</p><p>They also recently searched a wooded area known to locals as the Indian Rocks, but a trooper said nothing of significance was found.</p><p>Police are asking residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity or people by calling 911 or the Hazleton barracks at 570-459-3890.</p><p>People in the area are also advised to lock all their doors and secure their vehicles.</p><style>
