<p>The Luzerne County Historical Society announces announce its Executive Director Aimee E. Newell, Ph.D., recently received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Suffolk University&#8217;s Sawyer Business School in Boston, Massachusetts.</p><p>Newell started her degree in 2015 while she was living in the Boston metropolitan area and working as Director of Collections at the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum and Library in Lexington, MA. She continued her classwork through the program&#8217;s online option after she moved to Luzerne County in November 2016.</p><p>As part of her MBA program, Newell completed the requirements for a concentration in Nonprofit Management. Her coursework included classes on strategic management, revenue strategies for nonprofits and team projects with real-world clients, working to solve current challenges for those businesses. She also participated in a travel seminar held in Dublin, Ireland, on comparative public policy and another on the Silicon Valley cluster in San Francisco, California, which included flash consulting projects for six local companies.</p><style>
