<p>M. Justin Coffey, M.D., a board-certified psychiatrist and behavioral neurologist, has been named Geisinger&#8217;s Chair of the Department of Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine and Behavioral Health.</p><p>Dr. Coffey will lead a highly skilled team whose expertise spans all aspects of psychiatric care, addiction medicine, neuropsychology and behavioral health across Geisinger. He will also oversee education and training programs in psychiatry, adult psychology, neuropsychology, and pediatric psychology. He will direct the continued growth of programs that now encompass six inpatient psychiatric programs, 20 integrated psychiatric primary care sites, collaborative integrations with other specialty programs and providers throughout Geisinger.</p><p>Dr. Coffey&#8217;s clinical interests focus on brain stimulation therapies, brain-behavior relations, suicide prevention, behavioral health care redesign, and clinical informatics.</p><p>Dr. Coffey most recently served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer at the Menninger Clinic in Houston, Texas, where he was also the medical director of the Menninger Center for Brain Stimulation. He previously served as medical director of Henry Ford Hospital System&#8217;s Center for Brain Stimulation Therapies, as well as Chief of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and Director of Project Helios for Behavioral Health Services.</p><p>After completing his medical degree at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Coffey completed his internship and residency at the University of Michigan Hospitals &amp; Health System, where he also served as chief resident in the psychiatry department.</p><p>He also holds distinct interests in education and quality improvement, having served in faculty positions at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Baylor College of Medicine. He has been recognized as a fellow of Henry Ford Health System&#8217;s Advanced Leadership Academy and as an AADPRT Ginsberg Fellow. He has received numerous accolades, including top doctor awards, the Golden Beeper Award, Herbert Schmale Award, Frankwood Williams Award, and David Leach MD Award.</p><p>Dr. Coffey has penned and reviewed numerous academic journal publications and is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and vice president of the International Society for ECT &amp; Neurostimulation. He is a member of associations including the American Medical Association, the American Neuropsychiatric Association, and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.</p><style>
