<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; City police on Monday charged a man with robbing a Burgit City Taxi driver who was found with a pen sticking from his head in October.</p><p>Police allege Angus Alphonso Garrison, 32, was a fare in the cab that stopped on Reno Lane where he stabbed the driver and stole money.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>Police responded to Reno Lane at about 2:40 a.m. on Oct. 19 finding the cab driver was stabbed with a pen that remained embedded in his head. The driver told police he was stabbed and robbed by a man who was accompanied by a woman.</p><p>Police said a camera in the cab recorded the assault and robbery.</p><p>Video from the camera was used to identify Garrison, police said.</p><p>Police said the driver reported he picked up Garrison and the woman on Hillside Street and drove them to Motel 6. The driver left but returned to Motel 6 to pick up Garrison and the woman.</p><p>Garrison instructed the driver to take them to Reno Lane.</p><p>When they reached Reno Lane, the woman told the driver she had to get money to pay the fare. Garrison asked to use a pen and stabbed the driver in the head while demanding cash.</p><p>Police said the driver turned over money from his pocket.</p><p>After the assault and robbery, police allege Garrison ripped the surveillance camera from the windshield and walked away with the woman.</p><p>Police said the driver was treated at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.</p><p>Garrison, of Plymouth, was arraigned by District Judge James Dixon in Luzerne County Court on charges of robbery, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault. Dixon denied bail for Garrison as he was deemed a threat to society.</p><p>Court records say Garrison is jailed for lack of $10,000 bail for an unrelated robbery in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 19.</p><p>It&#8217;s not the first time Garrison has been charged for an alleged stabbing.</p><p>Garrison was sentenced by Luzerne County Judge David W. Lupas in June 2015 to two-to-five years in state prison on charges he stabbed a man in the chest several times on Riverside Drive in Wilkes-Barre in September 2014.</p><p>According to records from the state Department of Corrections, Garrison was released from state prison on Oct. 17, 2017, and was declared delinquent by the state parole board.</p><style>
