NEPIRC receives PPL Foundation grant for student video contest

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; City police are asking for help identifying a man seen on surveillance footage in connection with an alleged retail theft.</p><p>At about 6 p.m. Sunday, security cameras captured a man entering an employees only area at Schiel&#8217;s Family Market on Hanover St., police said.</p><p>He was then seen to remove at least two packs of cigarettes (unknown brand) before getting in a checkout line. The male was then observed concealing the cigarettes in his pocket and exiting the store without paying for them.</p><p>The suspect is a black male, about 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds. He is seen in the footage wearing a black jacket, black pants, white shoes and is believed to be in his early-to-mid 30s.</p><p>Anyone with information concerning the identity of the suspect can private message WBPD via Facebook, or leave an anonymous voice mail for Officer Novakowski at 570-208-4129.</p><style>
