<p>SCRANTON &#8212; A federal judge has issued an order saying the plaintiffs in a suit against a suspended Ashley cop who allegedly sexually assaulted them need to prove why they should be able to file their suit anonymously.</p><p>The lawsuit was filed in federal court last week against Mark Eric Icker, 29, of Dickson City. He&#8217;s facing several sex-related charges in three separate cases, having been accused by two women of forcing them to perform oral sex on him to get out of potential charges.</p><p>In a third case, investigators say he drove a woman to her home in the Mountain Top area after pulling her over on suspicion of DUI, then pulled down her shirt and bra to expose her breast.</p><p>The two women who made the oral-sex accusations filed a federal suit last week against Icker through attorneys Barry Dyller and Theron Solomon of the Dyller Law Firm in Wilkes-Barre.</p><p>The two women filed the suit under the pseudonyms &#8220;R. Doe&#8221; and &#8220;S. Doe&#8221; to protect their identities, but the suit said that the plaintiffs would be able to prove their identities to the defendant outside of public filings.</p><p>On Friday, U.S. District Judge James M. Munley filed an order, saying the plaintiffs would need to show cause for why they should be able to proceed anonymously.</p><p>Munley&#8217;s order says that anonymous filing is not typically allowed by the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, but it is occasionally allowed in &#8220;exceptional cases.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;The plaintiff must, however, first seek leave of court,&#8221; Munley wrote.</p><p>The plaintiffs were ordered to have a brief supporting their position on proceeding anonymously filed by Feb. 15.</p><p>In their suit, the plaintiffs are claiming that, in addition to sexually assaulting them, Icker violated their constitutional freedoms by allegedly illegally arresting them without cause and filming the sexual encounters without consent.</p><p>The women are demanding a jury trial and are seeking punitive damages along with the coverage of their legal fees.</p><p>Icker, meanwhile, remains locked up at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.</p><style>
