Casey, Toomey, Cartwright, Meuser differ on Trump’s State of Union

<p>The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins offense had trouble getting going Wednesday in Rockford.</p><p>Despite out-shooting the IceHogs 46-27, the Penguins generated just one goal in a 2-1 loss to middle-of-the-pack Rockford team.</p><p>Jarrett Burton was able to answer Rockford&#8217;s early goal with a tally of his one just 2 minutes and 45 seconds into the first period, but the IceHogs would take the lead for good before the break.</p><p>With less than eight minutes remaining in the period, Luke Johnson scored his eighth goal of the season to put the Penguins away for good.</p><p>Wilkes-Barre/Scranton goaltender Anthony Peters made 24 saves in 58:04 of work.</p><p><strong>Muse promoted to WBS</strong></p><p>The Penguins announced Wednesday that goaltender John Muse has been reassigned by the Pittsburgh Penguins to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.</p><p>Muse had been previously been playing with the Wheeling Nailers, of the ECHL. The eighth-year pro posted a 2-2-0 record, including one shutout, with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.</p><p>During one of his wins, Muse set a franchise record by making nine saves on nine shots faced in a shootout against the Hershey Bears on Dec. 9, 2018. He also became the first Penguins goalie since 2003 to allow four goals or fewer in his first three starts with the team. The East Falmouth, Mass. native racked up a 2.00 goals against average and .934 save percentage in his four contests with the Penguins this season, too.</p><p>Muse has appeared in 21 games for the Nailers this season, earning a 7-12-2 record in that time. The 30-year-old Boston College alum accrued a 3.40 goals against average and .878 save percentage with Wheeling.</p><style>
