<p>HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) &#8212; Recently resigned U.S. Rep Tom Marino now says problems with his remaining kidney prompted him to leave Congress just three weeks after starting his fifth term.</p><p>The 66-year-old Marino abruptly announced his resignation last month, saying he was taking a job outside government. But Marino told The Daily Item of Sunbury last week that he decided to leave after another kidney problem required surgery.</p><p>Multiple bouts of kidney cancer have left Marino with just part of one kidney.</p><p>Voters in the heavily Republican north-central Pennsylvania seat will pick a new representative on May 21, the day of the state&#8217;s municipal primary election.</p><p>Several candidates have announced they&#8217;re running to replace him, including Iraq War veteran Stacy Garrity, a Republican, on Tuesday. Political party committee members or delegates will pick nominees.</p><style>
