<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Mountain Top woman who has already admitted to stealing at least $100,000 from a Kingston spa will now plead guilty to federal tax evasion charges, court records show.</p><p>Judith Cefaly, 54, failed to pay over $646,000 in payroll taxes to the IRS for Shakti Day Spa which she formerly co-owned, according to federal prosecutors.</p><p>Cefaly failed to pay the taxes from 2011 to 2016, records state.</p><p>She has agreed to plead guilty next Wednesday to the count of failing to remit taxes, filings show.</p><p>Cefaly could face as much as five years in prison, as prosecutors have reserved their right to recommend the maximum sentence.</p><p>But that&#8217;s not the last of Cefaly&#8217;s legal issues. Last week, she entered a guilty plea to a theft count in Luzerne County Court.</p><p>Cefaly admitted to using the spa&#8217;s bank card to buy more than $100,000 of goods for personal use.</p><p>The spa&#8217;s majority owner, Leon McLaughlin, confronted Cefaly about the suspected thefts last February, leading her to surrender her ownership and resign.</p><p>He then reported the thefts to police in July.</p><p>Records show Cefaly will be sentenced for the state crimes on April 5. She&#8217;s currently out on $100,000 unsecured bail, which means she will need to post money only if she fails to appear for her next court date.</p><style>
