Nanticoke residentallegedly stole boatHUNLOCK TWP. &#8212; A Nanticoke man was arraigned Tuesday on charges he stole a boat and its trailer from a residence in April 2018.State police allege Wilbur Henry May, 24, showed up at a residence on Swamp Road, telling the homeowner he was taking a boat and trailer on April 17, 2018. The owner of the boat, Kyle Redmond, resides in Florida and is the son of the homeowner on Swamp Road.May allegedly told the homeowner that Redmond gave him the boat.Redmond claimed he never permitted May to take his boat and spotted his boat in a picture posted on social media.May was arraigned by District Judge Matthew Christopher in Luzerne County Central Court on a single count of theft. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $15,000 bail.Police: Passenger had heroinKINGSTON &#8212; Kevin Alan Fox, 52, of East Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, had heroin hidden in a candy container during a traffic stop Saturday, police say.According to a criminal complaint:Fox was a passenger in a Ford Explorer that had illegal window tint. The driver, who wasn&#8217;t charged, stopped on the North Cross Valley Expressway.Fox identified himself using his brother&#8217;s name.When Fox was searched, police found a pipe commonly used to smoke crack cocaine and an M&amp;M container that had two heroin packets and a straw with suspected heroin residue.Fox was arraigned by District Judge Richard Cronauer on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and false identification to law enforcement. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 bail.NJ man allegedlycaught with potWILKES-BARRE &#8212; City police arrested Darrell A. Ross, 32, of East Orange, N.J., after marijuana was allegedly found during a traffic stop on Dagobert Street on Friday.According to a criminal complaint:Police stopped a vehicle driven by Ross due to a revoked license plate.As officers approached, Ross was seen spraying air freshener inside the vehicle.An odor of marijuana was detected coming from inside.Police later found a jar containing nine packaged bags of marijuana behind the passenger seat, and Ross was in possession of two bags of marijuana and $1,068 cash in his pockets.A cell phone taken from Ross repeatedly rang and had to be turned off.Ross was arraigned by District Judge Richard Cronauer in Wilkes-Barre on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and driving a vehicle with a suspended plate. He was released from jail Monday after posting $10,000 bail.Man accused indomestic assaultHANOVER TWP. &#8212; Township police arrested Robert Patts, 59, after investigating a domestic disturbance at a residence on East Saint Marys Road on Saturday night.Police said a woman was transported to a local hospital for a head laceration and a broken bone.Patts was arraigned by District Judge Richard Cronauer in Wilkes-Barre on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.<style>
