Seniors celebrate Kingston center’s 45th anniversary

<p>HANOVER TWP. &#8212; An 18-year-old from Hanover Township was arrested Wednesday on charges he body-slammed his pregnant 16-year-old ex-girlfriend several times on a sidewalk.</p><p>Township officers say they have video from a surveillance camera showing Nicholas Edward Suprum, of Dexter Street, assaulting the girl and aggressively confronting a witness who offered to call police.</p><p>According to a criminal complaint:</p><p>At approximately 4:25 p.m., police received reports about a female who was assaulted by a man on Woodbury Street. </p><p>Afterward, she ran to a house on Dexter Street.</p><p>She claimed Suprum body-slammed her several times and punched her in the chest.</p><p>Video from a surveillance camera on Woodbury Street recorded Suprum holding the girl up in the air and attempting to body-slam her on a sidewalk. Suprum grabbed and shoved the girl into a fence.</p><p>As the girl held onto the fence, Suprum pulls her away, throws her to the ground and then stands over her.</p><p>A resident on Woodbury Street exited her house and asked the girl if she wanted police called.</p><p>Suprum told the resident to &#8220;mind your (expletive) business.&#8221;</p><p>Video shows Suprum then shaking a fence gate and taking an aggressive movement toward the resident. Suprum was also recorded grabbing the girl&#8217;s legs, picking her up and walking out of view of the camera.</p><p>The girl later reappears as she runs from Suprum, who was chasing her.</p><p>Suprum was arraigned by District Judge Thomas Malloy in Wilkes-Barre on four counts of simple assault, two counts each of recklessly endangering another person and harassment, and one count each of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.</p><p>Court records say Suprum was jailed for lack of $10,000 bail, but there was no record of him at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on Thursday.</p><style>
