Illegal firearm sentence for WB man upheld on appeal

<p>HANOVER TWP. &#8212; Township police and the Luzerne County Drug Task Force arrested two people after separate drug trafficking investigations.</p><p>Authorities arrested Robert Anthony Wiggins, 28, of Blackman Street, Wilkes-Barre, on allegations he delivered crack cocaine in Hanover Township. Wiggins was apprehended on Alta Road in Hanover Township just before 11 a.m. Thursday.</p><p>Authorities say Wiggins is on parole from the state Department of Corrections.</p><p>Wiggins was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Halesey in Hanover Township on four counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and a single count of criminal use of communication facility. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $125,000 bail and on a parole violation petition.</p><p>In the other arrest, authorities said they arrested Amanda Lynn Provinzano, 34, of Pocono Lake, on charges she delivered crack cocaine in Hanover Township. Provinzano&#8217;s arrest took place Feb. 13 but details were not released until Thursday due to an on-going investigation.</p><p>Provinzano was charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and a single count of criminal use of communication facility. She remains jailed for lack of $75,000 bail.</p><p>Authorities say Provinzano was on probation in Lackawanna County at the time of her arrest.</p><style>
