PSU Wilkes-Barre men’s basketball confident heading into nationals

<p>The sites and times have been set for the 11 Wyoming Valley Conference teams involved in next weekend&#8217;s PIAA state basketball tournaments.</p><p>Six WVC boys teams and five girls teams qualified through the District 2 tournament.</p><p>In boys action on Friday, Crestwood will play Frankford at 6 p.m. at Wilkes University in a Class 5A game. In Class 4A boys, Nanticoke Area plays Montoursville at 7:30 p.m. at Wilkes.</p><p>The remaining four boys teams will play on Saturday. In a doubleheader at Wilkes, Wyoming Seminary plays String Theory at 4:30 p.m. in a 3A game and Hazleton Area faces Methacton at 6 p.m. in a 6A game. Holy Redeemer will be out of the area as it plays Wellsboro in a Class 3A game at 6:30 p.m. at Troy High School. Northwest will also be traveling as it plays Millville at 5:30 p.m. at Williamsport High School in a Class 2A contest.</p><p>Two girls teams will open state play on Friday. Hazleton Area will take on Central Bucks West in a Class 6A opener at 7 p.m. at Berwick Middle School. Holy Redeemer plays Loyalsock at 6:30 p.m. at Williamsport in a 3A game.</p><p>There will be a girls doubleheader at Pittston Area on Saturday. In Class 4A, Lake-Lehman plays Jersey Shore at 4:30 p.m. Wyoming Valley West and Bangor play at 6 p.m. in a Class 5A game.</p><p>Nanticoke Area girls travel to Shikellamy High School on Saturday to play Mifflinburg at 7 p.m. in the Class 4A tournament.</p><style>
